Maybelline Instand Age Rewind Foundation

Hey guys! Hope everyone's week is going well, sorry for the delay in posts, starting work this week and I will try now to post at least once a week. For my summer job, I am outside and with kids almost all day, I need a foundation with an SPF, holding power, light coverage, and fast and easy to apply on those rushed morning. The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment gets the job done. So lets hop right in...

Today I will be reviewing the Instant Age Rewind foundation from Maybelline, I am in the shade 130 buff beige. First off, when shopping for the product originally, I really liked all the color choices that were offered and I felt they had a wide array of offerings, though some stores don't carry all the different shades, so just be sure to check nothing is missing if you cannot find your perfect shade.
I find this foundation to be extremely thin and light, I usually go for BB cremes with a thicker conscistency, but I find this foundation still gives me the same coverage I need, but with an even lighter application.
It is great for anyone on the go, outside, or if you want an easy fast foundation to travel with or throw in your purse. No brush required!

This fondation utilizes a twist up application where twisting the top dispenses product into the sponge tip applicator. You do not need to clean the applicator, and 3 clicks of the top is usually enough for a thin layer over your entire face, and you can click more as needed

Starting off with a clean face...

I drew lines on my face with the foundation using the sponge to dispense the product around my face. I loved not having to use my hands or make a mess trying to dispense the product on the back of my hand.

However, I find the brush to be diffiuclt at blending because there is still product on the tip and it continues to apply more than I like, it is also pretty hard and not comfortable to use everyday.
So I buff the rest of the product in with my Expert Face Brush

The finished foundation!

Next, for my outside on the go look, I swept some powder and did a quick eye look using cream shadow.
Mac MSF in Medium, Pop mascara, Rimmel Scandeleyes creme shadow stick and nude eyeliner, Stila eyebrow pen, and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze.

Finished Face!

Until next time lovelies, be sure to follow me on instagram @katebykatie

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation

Hey everyone! Time for another foundation demo and review! Today I will be wearing the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in shade 110 Ivory and applying with a damp Beauty Blender.

Overall, this foundation is my favorite for whenever I am going somewhere nicer, need my makeup to last longer, or need a fuller coverage than a BB cream or tinted moisturizer. Applying with the Beauty Blender is the best because it gives me a light natural finish that is still full coverage, and the damp sponge feels nice and cool against my skin. The foundation itself is even super blendable and would work great with whatever your favorite foundation brush may be. I would also recommend this foundation to any skin type ( I have dry to normal skin and love it, but have also seen gurus with oily skin that love it). Even if you need more coverage this foundation is very buildable and does not oxidize or turn orange with too much product. I did not need any other concealers besides for under eyes.
So now lets dive right into this demo...

As always I will be using the Covergirl and Olay concealer.

Here is my face before the foundation and concealer:

Start out with applying a small dap on the back of your hand and dot with blender onto face, adding more onto your hand first once you buff the first amount in as you need more for any red or acne prone areas.

Here is my face after applying foundation:

Now time for the fun makeup!
Benefit One Hot Minute Bronzer, Benefit Posie Tint,  Revlon Lip Butter is Cotton Candy, Benefit Dandelion blush, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshadow stick in Bulletproof Beige, and Loreal Infallible eyeshadow in Iced Latte

and the full-face look!

even a little outfit of the day...

Hope you all enjoyed!
Have you used this foundation before? What did you think!? Leave a comment and let me know!

Jouer Matte Moisture Tint

Hey Guys! Today I wore, demo'ed and reviewed the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint as a part of my 5 foundation review that is currently happening. So lets dive right in.....

As far as matte moisture tints go, I would say this one has a pretty medium coverage, my freckles are still visible and my face looks natural, but this evens out my skintone and covers any redness I may have. I did however need extra concealer on my acne. It also stuck to some of the dry skin on my nose as well. It is a matte finish so I believe this is why it doesn't conceal dryness as much. I think it would be great on someone with oily skin
(I have normal to dry skin)

Overall, this is my favorite go-to everyday "foundation". It has great blend-ability and matches my skintone without being too full coverage, I can also build up the coverage more if I want. This product lasts all day in the sunny florida heat!

Before we start, in all foundation routtines and images, Covergirl Olay Simply Ageless under eye concealer will be worn:

before foundation:

For this moisture tint, I used a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush:
my moisture tint is also in the shade porcelain, the lightest shade

Apply a pea size amount to finger and then dot all over face, focusing on any redness:

Next I applied Mac MSF in Medium with an Ecotools stippling brush:

Here is my final full face look and products I used!

Benefit They're Real Mascara, Stila brow liner in light, Rimmel Scandaleyes liner in Nude, Urban Decay liner in Bourbon,  Maybelline Color Whisper in Pink Possibilities, Too Faced shadow insurance, Urban decay shadows in Maui Wowie, Chopper, and Smog
Benefit one hot minute, Hervana blush, Wet n Wild Colorcon in Reserve Your Cabana

Hope you all enjoyed and this was helpful for you!

Have you used this product or any other products featured in this review? If so, comment and let me know what you think of them! Also don't forget to follow my blog regularly, and check back for more foundation reviews to come! If you want to see which ones I will be reviewing check the Foundation 5 posts for images!

Becoming Kate. Day 1

Hello, my name is Katie and today marks the first day in my journey, the metaphorical quest to becoming Kate, if you will. My entire life I have been one of the many Katies in the world and I have grown tired of it. I know there are also many Kates in the world, but with my 21st birthday looming around the corner, I feel that my life is in dire need of a sophistication upgrade into the world of Kate. I am currently heading into my third year of college majoring in retail merchandising and product development. After graduation I plan on working in the corporate cut-throat world of retail in either clothing or makeup. Making this blog is step 1 into this world. By becoming Kate I will become the more outgoing, sophisticated, most stylish version of myself. This blog is for me to help myself become Kate, and to help others like me be inspired by my life,  fashion,  makeup reviews and tips. I am even hoping one day to even start a youtube vlog if all goes well. Thanks for reading and I hope you join me on my transformation from Katie to Kate!
